Occupational therapy is similar to physical therapy. However, occupational therapy focuses on the activities of daily living: the ability to dress, cook, clean, and manage safely at home, school and work.
Inter-Lakes Health’s occupational therapy program helps patients with a wide range of conditions, including repetitive strain injuries such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel to arthritis and strokes; orthopedic injuries; and recovery from surgery. We are experienced in making customized splints for a wide range of conditions.
We work with patients that have physical, neurological, and developmental conditions that impact their everyday lives, including developmental, orthopedic, cognitive, visual conditions, and help guide them to recovery. Our goal is to reduce pain, restore function as fully as possible, and promote as much independence as possible.
We treat a range of conditions, including the following:
- Tendonitis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Arthritis
- Strokes
- Orthopedic injuries
- Surgery recovery
- Developmental delays
If you have pain and cannot do the daily tasks you were once able to perform, you may benefit from occupational therapy at Inter-Lakes Health.
